The photograph above is of a maple burl log we milled. These slabs are approximately 88" to 101" long x 22" to 28" wide x 3" to 8" thick and they each have two natural edges; one edge will need to be cut straight for attachment to serve as a mantel. On request, we will email photographs of individual slabs, then you can decide which of the edges to keep and we can cut it for you. These maple cluster burl logs were some of the best pieces for mantels we have ever cut. |

Solid wood mantels, fireplace shelves, and countertops will be the focal point in any room and we believe our live-edged redwood, juniper and maple are among the best -- and each and every item is made-to-order. Our solid woods have grain which varies from burl and curly to root to straight grain. Countertops or shelves are just thinner cuts than the mantels. We are always available to email photos to you and help with your special project. Any of our fireplace mantels can be shaped smaller to fit the size you need. Please try not to wait until the last day to talk to us about your mantel. Sometimes we can offer next day delivery once your mantel is completed, but a longer lead time is always preferred.
